Dr. Nitin Karnik

In 1985, at age 24, I walked into Prof. KCR’s cabin with a syllabus to start a computer course for High School graduates. In an hour he asked me to teach and be the course coordinator for the course. Later he was my Marketing teacher for Marketing in Bombay University’s Commerce Department. My association with him till 1995 was as his student, faculty, and later as an Asst. Director of GICE&D, the institute he pioneered.

Never seen such a gem of a person with so much depth and respect for others. Had great time with him learning from his experience, sharing his vision and passion for teaching. I had some of amazing memories with him during the early years of GICED, especially his house which was amid all reptiles, snakes, cobras included. Never once he complained about the place he was in and continued his work despite all adversities, in fact his life became an example for me when I moved into the same house surrounded by snakes, frogs, and scorpions.

His wisdom truly shaped my career in US and helped me to be a better entrepreneur and human being.

Sir, thank you for shaping my life.

I have known Prof.Raja for six years, it was he who first appreciated my work and invited me to join the ROFEL family.

His work ethic and clarity in processing and transforming our ideas into succinct summaries and strategic reports during the course of our meetings spoke louder than words of his professionalism and grasp of our mandate and profession.

It’s nice to have him to guide us. That gives us the comfort to push ourselves further than we otherwise would.

I am lucky enough to be associated with Prof. Raja for the last ten years. I could learn many things from him because of the long and extensive interaction with him. I am happy that not only I but now many, many others on the web will be benefited from his ideas through his website.I really liked the article titled \”Turning a Person into a Brand\” on the website. I expect many more such articles to come on the website.

I have known Professor Raja for more than a decade. He has deep insight into managerial issues, which he acquired from his long association with Indian industry. For quarter of a century he has been concerned with management education. Besides teaching he has been involved in setting up management schools and managing institutions. What I admire in Prof. Raja are his sustained efforts to learn what is new in the field of management and his desire to use it in resolving issues in practice. I am happy that he is starting a website to interact “on management practices, management education and education management” with those who are concerned with management education and administration. I am convinced that Prof. Raja is the most appropriate person to initiate a forum for such interactions. Every one in the field of management education and management administration would benefit from these interactions. I wish him all the success in this effort.

I am delighted to know that K.C.R. Raja is starting his website, devoted to Management Education and Management of Institutions. I have had the privilege to know Raja for many years and while few have his knowledge and experience in the fields of Management Education, no one that I know updates himself so diligently and fully as he does. In a field that is forever changing, developing, reviewing and rediscovering itself, Raja is not only current but focused always on the future as well. As a person, a more affable, accommodating and genial person is hard to find. I wish his new effort every success. And I am glad he is doing it because it will benefit everybody in this field.

I have the privilege of being closely associated with Prof KCR Raja for over a decade now. Every minute spent with him has been enriching! His erudition knows no boundaries; in any situation he is able to dive deep into the ocean of knowledge that he has mastered and retrieve pearls of wisdom. His ironclad commitment to excellence and ethics make him the tallest in any company. Working with him has been undoubtedly the most rewarding experience of my career.
